Overview
WARN designed the Zeon XD as a sealed recovery winch with a planetary geartrain, an aluminum drum and a mechanical cone brake. The control pack can move off the winch for a low profile install, and both a wireless receiver and a wired remote come in the kit.
Off-road drivers who winch through mud and water crossings get sealing tested for submersion and pressure washing, plus two ways to control the pull. Rope type and length are not stated in this listing, so confirm the line before ordering.
Who it's for
Recovery work in mud, water and grit suits the sealed housing and corrosion resistant finish. Owners of light trailers or small ATVs will carry more winch than the job asks.
Pros and cons
- Submersion and pressure wash sealing
- Wireless and wired control both included
- Relocatable control pack for low mounts
- Corrosion resistant paint and fasteners
- Rope type and length not listed
- Relocation kits are separate items
- Wireless range needs the HUB app
Performance notes
Pull and line speed come from the planetary geartrain, whose improved efficiency lowers strain on components. The mechanical cone brake holds the load when the motor stops, and O-ring sealing protects the internals from water and dust.

Frequently asked questions
How do I care for the WARN Zeon XD after water crossings?
The listing states it can stay submerged at 1 meter for 25 minutes and resists hot pressure washing, with O-ring seals and corrosion resistant paint and fasteners. No maintenance schedule is given.
Can the WARN Zeon XD control pack be moved?
Yes. The convertible control pack can be relocated for low profile installs, using one of two relocation kits with short or long power cables, available separately.
Do I need the app for wireless control of the WARN Zeon XD?
Yes. The HUB receiver gives 100+ ft wireless range when paired with the WARN HUB app; the wired remote is the second control option.
