Overview
PetPivot's self-cleaning litter box is an open-top automatic unit built for multi-cat households, with safety sensors, a large waste bin and quiet operation. It ships with liners and a mat included.
The open-top design skips a hood, which some cats prefer for visibility and ease of entry compared to enclosed automatic boxes. It's not smart home connected, so monitoring and cleaning cycles are handled by the unit itself rather than through an app.
- Open-top design for multi-cat households
- Advanced safety sensors during cleaning
- Large capacity waste bin
- Liners and mat included
Who it's for
Fits multi-cat households wanting to cut down on manual scooping, especially cats that dislike enclosed or hooded litter boxes. Not for owners wanting app-based remote monitoring, since it lacks smart home connectivity.
Pros and cons
- Safety sensors pause cleaning if a cat enters
- Large waste bin reduces emptying frequency
- Open-top design suits cats wary of enclosures
- Liners and mat included
- No lid, so litter is more exposed
- Not smart home compatible
- 22 lb weight capacity limits larger cats
Performance notes
The advanced safety sensors are meant to pause the cleaning cycle if a cat enters the box, a key feature in automatic litter boxes to prevent injury, while the large waste bin cuts down on how often it needs emptying. The open-top layout and whisper-quiet operation are both aimed at making cats comfortable using an automated box rather than avoiding it.
