Overview
An open-top automatic self-cleaning litter box with 7 pairs of safety sensors, anti-pinch protection, and a stepped entry aimed at senior cats. Sold without a lid.
The open top removes the enclosed-hood design some cats avoid, while automation handles the raking cycle after use. The sensor count and anti-pinch language point to a box built around cat safety during the automatic cleaning cycle rather than just owner convenience.
- Open-top automatic design
- 7 pairs of safety sensors
- Anti-pinch protection
- Easy access step for senior cats
Who it's for
Owners of senior or lower-mobility cats who want easy step-in access with automated cleaning, and multi-cat households wanting less manual scooping. Not for owners specifically wanting an enclosed, hooded design for odor or privacy.
Pros and cons
- Easy access step suited to senior cats
- 7 pairs of safety sensors with anti-pinch protection
- Open top avoids hooded-box aversion
- 1 year manufacturer warranty
- No lid, so litter and odor are more exposed than a covered box
- At 20.6 lbs it isn't a light unit to move
Performance notes
The self-cleaning cycle relies on the 7 pairs of sensors to detect the cat's presence and pause raking, which is the anti-pinch protection referenced in the listing. The stepped entry lowers the lip height compared with a standard covered box, which matters most for cats with joint issues.
