Overview
The Slim Panda mat strap is a 24 inch by 2 inch slap band that wraps around a rolled yoga mat and snaps shut in one motion, sized for mats between 1.5 and 8mm thick.
Rather than a buckle or velcro closure, this is a slap bracelet style band: roll the mat, wrap the band around it and it curls shut on its own. That makes it faster to use than a strap and clip, though it only works once the mat is already rolled tight.
- 24 inch length, 2 inch width
- Heavy-duty clasp construction
- Available in multiple colors
- Fits most standard size mats
Who it's for
Yogis who want a quick way to keep a rolled mat closed for a bag or car trunk. Not a substitute for a full carrying strap or sling if you need to sling the mat over a shoulder.
Pros and cons
- Closes in one motion, no buckle
- Fits mats from 1.5 to 8mm thick
- Compact enough to keep on the mat
- Does not function as a carrying strap
- Only closes a mat already rolled tight
Performance notes
The band works by curling shut when slapped against the rolled mat, similar to a slap bracelet, so there is no buckle to thread or velcro to line up. It is rated for mats from 1.5 to 8mm thick, covering most standard and thicker yoga and exercise mats.
