A simple, low-cost way to keep a rolled mat shut, well liked for how quickly it snaps on, though it works best matched to a standard-size mat rather than an oversized one.

Overview
A slap-band style strap, 24 inches long and 2 inches wide, that wraps and snaps around a rolled yoga mat to hold it closed, rated for mats between 1.5 and 8mm thick.
Rather than a buckle or hook and loop closure, this works like a slap bracelet: wrap it around the rolled mat and it snaps shut on its own. That single mechanism is also its limiting factor, since fit depends on how tightly the mat is rolled and how thick the mat is.
- 24 inch length, 2 inch width
- Rated for mats 1.5 to 8mm thick
- Single-snap slap-band closure
- Available in multiple colors
Who it's for
Works for anyone who wants a fast way to keep a rolled mat closed for carrying or storage without fumbling with buckles. Owners of extra-large or extra-thick mats may find it doesn't cinch as tightly as on a standard-size mat.
Pros and cons
- Snaps shut with one motion, no buckle or velcro to fumble with
- Handles a range of mat thicknesses from 1.5 to 8mm
- Doubles as a grip band for a water bottle when not on a mat
- Sold in a variety of colors
- Grip can feel loose on thinner mats
- May not fit larger or oversized mats well
