Overview
A 38 pound box of Purina Tidy Cats clumping clay litter in the Bahama Sunset scent, built around Purina's odor control formula for clay litter boxes.
This is a scented clay clumping litter, the most common and typically most affordable litter category, as opposed to silica crystal or plant based alternatives. Scented formulas mask odor with fragrance in addition to clumping tightly around waste, a tradeoff some cats and owners prefer and others avoid in favor of unscented litter.
- 38 lb clumping clay litter
- Bahama Sunset scent for odor control
- Made by Purina Tidy Cats
- Loose particle clay formula
Who it's for
Suits owners who already use clay clumping litter and don't mind a scented formula. Not the choice for households where a cat has shown sensitivity to scented litter, or for owners who specifically want a clay-free option.
Pros and cons
- 38 pound box covers extended use
- Clumping clay for easy scooping
- Purina odor control formula
- Scented, not suitable for scent sensitive cats
- Clay litter tracks more than some crystal alternatives
Performance notes
As a clay clumping formula, it works by binding around urine and waste into solid clumps that scoop out cleanly, leaving the rest of the litter bed reusable. The scent layers on top of that clumping action for odor control rather than replacing it.
