Overview
Long par fives and wide-open tee shots are where the Srixon Q-Star UltiSpeed earns its keep, built for faster swingers chasing extra yards. A high-speed core and a drag-cutting dimple pattern push distance while a soft cover adds feel.
Srixon built this ball for yardage first, with a cover soft enough for chips and approaches. The bullets and description name different cores, leaving the construction details uncertain.
Who it's for
Players with quicker swing speeds looking for extra carry without a hard feel. Slow swingers may be better served by a low compression ball.
Pros and cons
- Dimples lower drag
- Higher, steadier launch
- Soft feel around greens
- Core described two different ways
- Not aimed at slow swings
- Piece count not listed
Performance notes
Ball speed comes from how the core compresses and rebounds, which suits players who swing fast enough to load it. The dimple pattern reduces drag, raising launch and keeping flight steady in wind.
