Overview
Matching a ball to a moderate swing, this prior generation RX uses a gradational compression core for ball speed and lower side spin. A reactive cover rebounds on drives and holds the face on approaches.
Distance and forgiveness for moderate swing speeds make it a sound fit for many amateurs. Being prior generation, it lacks the newer mid-layer system, and the listing does not say how many balls are included.
Who it's for
Mid handicap golfers and those with moderate swing speeds suit this ball. Faster players should look at the XS.
Pros and cons
- Distance at moderate speeds
- Lower side spin from the core
- Spin on approaches
- Efficient dimple design
- Ball count not stated
- Prior generation technology
- Diameter not listed
Performance notes
A gradational core is softer in the center and firmer outside, which raises ball speed and cuts side spin for straighter drives. The reactive cover changes behavior with impact force. Dual dimples reduce drag.
