A secure, sweat-ready upgrade over the original Powerbeats Pro, with real heart rate tracking and long battery life, though the active noise cancelling only dampens gym noise rather than blocking it outright.

Overview
Wireless earhook workout earbuds from Beats with active noise cancelling, built-in heart rate sensors, and a Qi-charging case rated for up to 45 hours total listening. Built for runners, lifters, and gym-goers who need earbuds that survive sweat and stay locked in during movement.
Powerbeats Pro 2 leans on the earhook design that made the original a gym staple, now paired with Apple's H2 chip and onboard heart rate tracking so a chest strap becomes optional.
- Apple H2 chip with Adaptive EQ and Spatial Audio
- IPX4 sweat and water resistance
- Qi wireless charging case, a first for Beats
- Six total microphones for calls
Who it's for
Suits anyone whose workouts involve sweat, sprinting, or head movement that pops standard earbuds loose, especially existing Beats or Apple device owners who want heart rate data without a watch. Not the pick for someone chasing flagship-level noise cancelling for a plane or train commute.
Pros and cons
- Noise cancelling dampens rather than blocks
- Some discomfort after long wear sessions
- Both earbuds required to enable noise cancelling
Performance notes
The Apple H2 chip drives Adaptive EQ and the heart rate sensor, which pulses over 100 times a second from inside the ear rather than the wrist. Noise cancelling is tuned for gym environments, and several owners describe it as dampening rather than true cancellation, so plane engines or crying infants still come through.
