Overview
A home defense carbine or a brush hunting rifle is where the Firefield RapidStrike fits. True low magnification gives a wide view up close, the zoom reaches far enough for mid range detail, and the kit ships with a cantilever mount and throw lever.
A full kit with mount, throw lever and covers means fewer parts to buy. The second focal plane BDC reticle stays the same size through the zoom range. Illumination is not mentioned, which matters in low light.
Who it's for
Carbine and brush gun owners who want quick close shots and some reach will use the range of zoom. Low light hunters should look for an illuminated reticle.
Pros and cons
- True low end for close shots
- Cantilever mount included
- Throw lever for quick zoom
- Locking turrets prevent bumps
- Illumination not mentioned
- Eye relief units unclear
Performance notes
Second focal plane means the reticle stays the same size as you zoom, which suits fast aiming at low power. Fully multi-coated glass improves light transmission, and the locking turrets hold their zero against bumps.
