Overview
Gaming at high frame rates on a mid-range graphics card is what the MSI MAG monitor is built for. A VA panel drives the picture, and adaptive sync lines the refresh up with the card to stop tearing.
High refresh at full HD lets many cards hit smooth motion without a top-end GPU. Text and detail look softer than on higher resolution panels at the same size.
Who it's for
Shooters, racing games and fast action titles benefit from the refresh rate and quick response. Creative work that needs sharper detail calls for a higher resolution display.
Pros and cons
- High refresh for smooth motion
- Deep contrast from the VA panel
- Wide viewing angle
- Matte screen cuts glare
- Only one HDMI port
- Full HD looks soft at this size
- Curved or flat unclear on the page
Performance notes
Motion clarity depends on the graphics card reaching high frame rates, since the panel only shows what it receives. VA contrast deepens blacks, and AI Vision lifts shadow detail, which can help in dark game scenes.
