Overview
A collapsible umbrella-style minnow trap net made from rubber, measuring 90cm, built for catching bait from a boat or the bank.
Umbrella traps collapse flat for setting and open once submerged, which is faster to deploy and retrieve than a rigid box trap. Rubber construction adds some flex and resistance to tangling compared to mesh alternatives. Entry points and bait capacity are not specified, so check those details if precise catch volume matters to you.
- 90cm collapsible umbrella trap
- Rubber construction
- Works for boat fishing and bank fishing
- Lightweight design
Who it's for
Anglers who want to catch their own live bait rather than buy it, from either a boat or the shoreline. Less useful for anglers who only fish artificial lures.
Pros and cons
- Collapsible for easy storage and transport
- Works from either boat or bank
- Lightweight rubber build
- Bait capacity and entry design not specified
- Rubber may hold odor more than rigid mesh alternatives
Performance notes
The umbrella-style fold lets the trap collapse for transport and open up once set, which speeds up deployment compared to rigid box traps. Rubber material adds some durability against snags in rocky or weedy water.
