Overview
A traveler or camper who wants movies without a wall outlet gets an XGIMI laser projector with its own battery and Google TV. The built-in stand turns to aim at walls or ceilings, and automatic alignment squares the image.
Battery power, laser color and official Netflix in a small body make it easy to take anywhere. Brightness favors dark rooms and medium screen sizes.
Who it's for
Couples on road trips and families camping get a cordless screen with good color. Home theater owners after big, bright images should look larger.
Pros and cons
- Google TV with official Netflix
- Rich laser color
- Rotating stand for ceilings
- Harman Kardon speakers
- Short battery playtime for long films
- Max image size listed two ways
Performance notes
Laser light gives saturated color, but output is modest, so XGIMI recommends medium screen sizes for the strongest balance of color and contrast. Battery life covers about a film, so longer sessions need the power cord.
