Overview
An RGB triple laser light source drives this XGIMI Elfin Flip, a book-sized Ultra HD projector with Google TV built in. Optical zoom resizes the picture without moving the unit or losing sharpness, and dual Harman Kardon speakers handle sound.
Laser color, native Ultra HD and optical zoom in a portable body make it a flexible living room and patio projector. Brightness suits dim rooms more than sunny ones, and the warranty is short.
Who it's for
Apartment dwellers and console gamers get sharp picture, low lag and apps in one box. Rooms flooded with daylight need a much brighter projector.
Pros and cons
- Native Ultra HD resolution
- Optical zoom holds full sharpness
- Low lag gaming modes
- Google TV with streaming apps
- Moderate brightness for daylight
- Port count not detailed
Performance notes
Image size changes through glass optics rather than pixel scaling, so a smaller picture holds full detail. The triple laser produces narrow red, green and blue light, which widens color, while brightness limits how well it handles ambient light.
