Overview
Canon packs printing, scanning, copying and faxing into this color laser imageCLASS, controlled from a customizable touchscreen. It prints both sides automatically and scans both sides of a page in a single pass.
Fast duplex scanning and a document feeder handle multipage jobs without babysitting. The listed print speeds differ, and toner must be the matching Canon cartridges.
Who it's for
Small businesses and busy home offices get a full set of functions with fast double-sided scanning. Light users will not need its capacity.
Pros and cons
- Single-pass two-sided scanning
- Automatic duplex printing
- Alexa voice printing
- USB device printing slot
- Print speed listed two ways
- Toner tied to one model
- Large for small desks
Performance notes
Throughput depends on the duplex unit and feeder: single-pass scanning reads both sides at once, so stacks move quickly. Toner yield sets how often cartridges change, and the high capacity version lasts much longer.
