Fitvids Deep Dish Olympic Cast Iron Weight Plates

Overview

This Fitvids QD740 plate is a single 25 pound cast iron weight plate finished in black, sized for a 2 inch style bar based on the SFDD2IN25 designation in its model number.

Cast iron is a traditional choice for gym plates because of its density and low cost per pound, and this listing confirms a single 25 pound piece rather than a pair, so buyers building a full set will need to order multiple units.

• Cast iron material
• 25 pounds
• Black finish
• Sold as a single piece

Who it's for

Fits lifters adding incremental plate weight to an existing bar setup one plate at a time. Not the right choice for someone expecting a matched pair or full plate set in one purchase.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Cast iron plates hold their weight rating reliably and resist the warping some rubber coated plates show over time, though the trade off is a harder, noisier drop if set down roughly.
