Overview
Not a rubber pad practice kit, this Yamaha kit uses tunable dual-ply mesh heads that rebound like real drums. The DTX-PRO module adds ambience, compression and effects through its Kit Modifier knobs, plus training tools and recording.
Natural feel and quick sound shaping are why to buy it, with mesh heads and hands-on knobs for tone. The parts list names only snare, toms, crashes and kick tower, leaving out a hi-hat, ride, pedals and throne.
Who it's for
Intermediate drummers and committed beginners practicing quietly at home will enjoy the feel and training tools. Anyone who needs a complete kit with pedals should confirm contents first.
Pros and cons

Performance notes
Mesh heads rebound like acoustic drums and can be tightened to change feel. Tri-zone cymbals trigger different sounds on bow, edge and bell. The Kit Modifier changes ambience and compression across a kit in seconds.
