Overview
Listeners who want a dedicated music player instead of draining a phone get a screen-based Hi-Res player with its own storage and a memory card slot. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are both built in, and the format list covers lossless and DSD files.
Wide format support, onboard storage plus a card slot, and Wi-Fi make it a self-contained music source. Headphone jack types are missing from the listing, which matters for anyone with balanced headphones.
Who it's for
Headphone owners building a lossless collection get a single device that stores and plays it. Runners and gym users wanting a tiny clip-on player should look smaller.
Pros and cons
- Expandable storage via microSDHC
- Plays DSD and FLAC files
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in
- Large screen for browsing
- Output jacks not listed
- Only SDHC cards named for expansion
- Few audio specs beyond formats
Performance notes
Sound depends on the file quality and the headphones, since the player can only reproduce what the source carries. Bluetooth listening is shaped by the codec both ends share. Storage space governs how much of a lossless library fits before a memory card is needed.
