Overview
Indoor gyms and league courts are where the Wilson Jet belongs. The ball pairs a microfiber cover that flexes with the hand and a Cushion Core for a soft touch, with pebbled channels to help grip and shooting.
Wilson brought the Jet name back as an indoor game ball, and its microfiber cover is the reason to buy: it gives a tacky, controlled feel on release. The limit is the surface. A cover made for hardwood is the wrong tool for driveway games.
Who it's for
Gym regulars and indoor league players get a ball approved for competitive indoor play. Outdoor players and kids who need a smaller ball should look at a different listing.
Pros and cons
- Microfiber cover flexes for control
- Cushion Core gives a soft touch
- Pebbled channels aid grip
- Approved for indoor competitive play
- Indoor cover, not built for asphalt
- Only size 7 in specs despite title
- Pump or needle not listed
Performance notes
Grip comes from the microfiber surface and the pebbled channels, which give fingertips texture to hold during a shot. The Cushion Core under the cover softens the response off the hand. A dusty floor reduces how much the cover can grip.
