Overview
Full-depth wood shells wrapped around Roland's top digital pads give this V-Drums kit the look and stage presence of an acoustic set. Its module draws on a sound library recorded with Drum Workshop, and wireless downloads add kits from Roland Cloud.
Acoustic presence with full digital control is why to buy it, and the DW library adds realism. The listing omits pad sizes, cymbal count and whether pedals or a throne are included, which matters at this level.
Who it's for
Working drummers, studio players and serious home players who want a kit that looks real on stage are the audience. Beginners and space limited players will find it oversized.
Pros and cons
- Full-depth wood shells
- DW sampled sound library
- Digital snare, ride and hi-hat
- Wireless content downloads
- Pad sizes and weight not listed
- Pedals and throne not mentioned
Performance notes
Realism comes from multi-sampled sounds and digital pads that read dynamics and strike position. Tuning, muffling and head type edits change each drum's character without swapping hardware. The software instrument extends the same sounds to a computer.
