Overview
Drummers who want an acoustic look at home with full volume control get shallow wood shells and a full-size kick drum in this Roland kit. The module shares the engine of Roland's higher end modules and connects wirelessly for new sounds.
A real drum look and layout at practice room volume is the case for it. Shallow shells keep it slimmer than a flagship kit, and the listing does not say whether pedals, a throne or sticks come in the box.
Who it's for
Home players and project studio drummers who want the feel of a familiar layout will enjoy it. Gigging drummers wanting full-depth shells should look at the flagship line.
Pros and cons
- Wood shells with a real kit look
- Full-size kick drum
- Flagship grade sound engine
- Wireless sound downloads
- Pedals and throne not listed
- Weight not listed
- Editor named for a different module
Performance notes
Shallow shells reduce depth and weight while keeping the acoustic outline. The module plays multi-sampled sounds that respond to how hard and where you hit. Volume is controlled at the module, so practice can happen on headphones.
