Overview
This Maison Backyards smoker runs on wood pellets and is built from alloy steel with a black finish. At 44 lb and 17.3 x 29.5 x 42.5 inches, it is a mid-size vertical unit meant to sit in one spot in the yard.
Pellet fuel means it relies on an auger and hopper system to feed fuel automatically rather than tending charcoal or wood by hand, trading some hands-on control for steadier temperatures.
- Pellet fuel type
- Alloy steel construction
- 44 lb weight
Who it's for
Fits cooks who want lower-maintenance smoking without babysitting a fire, and who have yard space for a 44 lb standing unit. Less suited to purists who prefer the direct control of charcoal or stick-burner smokers.
Pros and cons
- Pellet feed reduces manual fuel tending
- Alloy steel build for repeated outdoor use
- Lighter than many smokers at 44 lb
- 3.7 average rating is on the lower side for this category
- No description or review text available to confirm common complaints
Performance notes
Alloy steel construction and a black finish are typical for pellet smokers built to handle repeated heat cycles. The 44 lb weight keeps it light enough to reposition occasionally despite its 42.5 inch height.
