Overview
An aluminum frame strung with polyester and TPU mesh forms the seat and back of the NEMO Moonlite Elite, and the backrest reclines to several angles. It packs into the included Platform Pack carrying case or a stuff sack for the trail.
A reclining backrest in a packable chair is the reason to carry it, turning a rest stop or camp evening into something closer to a lounge. The weak spot is the data: no weight capacity, chair weight or seat height is given.
Who it's for
Hikers and bikepackers who want to lean back at camp after a long day get a mesh chair that packs small. Campers who need armrests or a published load rating should look at other options.
Pros and cons
- Backrest reclines to several positions
- Aluminum frame with mesh seat
- Packs into an included carrying case
- Stuff sack also included
- Weight capacity not listed
- Mesh seat has no padding
Performance notes
Comfort comes from mesh stretched over an aluminum frame, so support depends on how taut the fabric is and how evenly the legs meet the ground. Reclining shifts weight toward the backrest for lounging, while the upright setting suits eating or working at camp.
