Overview
A 25 liter personal-item backpack sized at 17.1 x 11.5 x 7.1 inches to fit under the seat on airlines like Spirit and Frontier, with a suitcase-style opening, a padded sleeve for a 15.6 inch laptop and 12.9 inch tablet, and a built-in power bank pocket.
The core pitch is fee avoidance: dimensions are matched to personal-item allowances rather than full carry-on sizing, so packing tight matters more than usual. It opens flat like a suitcase instead of top-loading, with elastic straps and compression straps to hold clothing in place. A pocket for a power bank with a pass-through charging cable is built in, though the power bank itself is not included.
- 17.1 x 11.5 x 7.1 inches, 25L, 1.4 lbs
- Built-in power bank pocket with external charging port
- 3 exterior zippered pockets
- Luggage strap attaches to a rolling suitcase handle
Who it's for
Suits flyers on basic-economy or budget carriers who want to avoid checked or carry-on fees by staying within personal-item limits. Less useful for trips needing more than 25L of packing space or for travelers who prefer a top-loading backpack over a suitcase-style flat opening.
Pros and cons
- Sized to meet Spirit, Frontier and easyJet personal-item limits
- Suitcase-style flat opening for packing
- Padded sleeve fits a 15.6 inch laptop and 12.9 inch tablet
- Includes a separate wet-dry bag for toiletries
- Power bank not included for the charging pocket
- 25L capacity limits longer trips
Performance notes
The flat, suitcase-style opening combined with elastic retention straps and side compression straps is meant to keep clothes organized and let you pack more without exceeding the personal-item outline. The padded electronics sleeve separates a 15.6 inch laptop and 12.9 inch tablet from the main compartment, and the power bank pocket routes a charging cable to an external port without needing to dig into the bag.
