Overview
A parent who wants a child to stream music without a phone gets a locked down Android player in the innioasis player. Streaming, audiobook and e-book apps come preloaded, there is no app store, and selected apps can be removed and the restore function locked with a passcode.
Streaming apps without an app store or phone give kids music and audiobooks with fewer distractions. Bluetooth is a few generations old, and the small screen suits audio more than video.
Who it's for
Kids, gym goers and anyone wanting Spotify or Libby away from their phone get streaming and offline playback in one. Users who want any app they choose will find the closed setup limiting.
Pros and cons
- Preloaded streaming apps
- Audible and Libby for audiobooks
- No app store for kids
- Passcode lock on restore
- Older Bluetooth version
- Small screen for video
- Streaming needs Wi-Fi
Performance notes
Battery life depends on use, running far longer for music than video, and Wi-Fi streaming drains faster than offline files. The octa core chip and memory keep app switching smooth for music, books and light video.
