BEAUMONT BASICS Flavors Freeze-Dried Chicken Dog Food Topper

Overview

A freeze dried, grain free chicken food topper from Beaumont Basics, sold as a 3 pack of 3.1 oz portions. It is made with human grade, additive free ingredients including sweet potato.

Beaumont positions this for stomach sensitive dogs, and the freeze dried form means it stores and gets used differently than the liquid or canned toppers common in this category, typically crumbled over kibble. It ranks in both the food topper and freeze dried dog food subcategories, suggesting crossover appeal between the two.

Who it's for

Owners looking for a shelf stable, grain free topper to sprinkle over dry food, particularly for dogs with sensitive stomachs. Dogs that need grain in their diet or that do better with a wet topper may be served better elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Freeze drying preserves the chicken and sweet potato ingredients without the additives or preservatives found in some shelf stable toppers, and the 3 pack format lets owners control portion size across servings. Because it is dry rather than liquid, it does not add the moisture a broth style topper would.
