Overview

Stella and Chewy's Chicken Recipe patties are freeze-dried raw dog food, grain-free and built around chicken, sold in a 25 oz bag and marketed for all life stages.

Freeze-drying rather than cooking or extruding is the defining choice here, aimed at keeping the recipe closer to a raw nutrient profile than typical kibble. The same bag is pitched three ways in the listing, as a full meal, a food topper, or broken into training treats, so how a household actually uses it changes how far one bag stretches.

Freeze-dried raw chicken patties
Grain-free, corn, soy and wheat free
Probiotics and omega fatty acids added
Works as a meal, topper or training treat

Who it's for

Owners wanting a grain-free raw option without handling actual raw meat, whether feeding it as a full meal or crumbling it over kibble. Budget-focused shoppers feeding multiple large dogs daily may find the cost per feeding adds up faster than kibble.

Pros and cons

Pros

Grain-free and free of corn, soy and wheat
Works as a meal, topper or training treat
Probiotics and omega fatty acids included

Cons

Costs more per pound than standard kibble
Needs to be broken up or moistened for full-meal feeding

Performance notes

Freeze-drying preserves more of the chicken's raw nutrient content than cooked kibble, and the added probiotics and omega fatty acids are meant to support digestion and coat condition. Because the patties can be fed whole, crumbled as a topper, or broken into training pieces, the product's value depends heavily on which use case a household picks.
