Overview
A freeze dried raw dog food formulated for adult small breeds, sold in a 16 oz (1 lb) bag with beef, duck, salmon and turkey among the listed proteins. Positioned around digestive health and dental care.
Freeze dried raw food sits between kibble and fresh raw feeding, retaining raw ingredients without refrigeration but usually needing rehydration or serving as a topper depending on the dog. The small breed sizing and multi protein blend suggest it is meant as a primary or supplemental meal for smaller dogs specifically, not a general purpose formula.
- 16 oz (1 lb) bag
- Formulated for adult small breeds
- Freeze dried raw processing
- Multi protein: beef, duck, salmon, turkey
Who it's for
Owners of small adult dogs wanting a raw style diet without the handling and storage needs of fresh raw food. Less suited to large breed dogs given the small breed formulation.
Pros and cons
- Multi protein blend of beef, duck, salmon and turkey
- Freeze dried raw format needs no refrigeration unopened
- Sized for small breed adult dogs
- 16 oz bag is a small quantity for ongoing feeding
- Freeze dried raw food typically costs more per pound than kibble
Performance notes
Freeze drying removes moisture while keeping the raw ingredients largely intact, which is why the food does not need refrigeration until rehydrated or served. As with most raw and freeze dried diets, digestive benefits depend on gradually introducing it rather than switching all at once.
