Overview
A desk worker who wants less arm travel gets a stationary trackball, where the cursor moves by rolling the large ball in place. The body is symmetrical for either hand and charges rather than taking disposable cells.
Rolling a ball in place spares the wrist from sweeping across a mouse pad, and extra buttons cover common shortcuts. The limit is a sparse spec sheet with no run time, polling rate or sensor type.
Who it's for
A cramped desk or lap setup where a mouse pad has no room, working with a laptop or personal computer. Fast-twitch gamers and designers who rely on sweeping pointer motion are better served by a standard mouse.
Pros and cons
- Works with either hand
- Large ball for fine cursor control
- Bluetooth and USB connection options
- Extra buttons for shortcuts
- Battery runtime not listed
- Needs a learning period for new users
- Sensor type unlisted
Performance notes
Cursor speed comes from the ball rotation and the sensitivity setting, and the listed maximum caps how quickly the pointer can cross a screen. A larger ball allows finer motion at low speed. Wireless response depends on whether you use Bluetooth or the USB option.
