Overview
A lakeside trail, a hostel tap or a daily commute is where this LifeStraw Sip filter straw fits, letting you drink directly from a source. Caps on both ends keep it clean between uses.
Tiny weight and a large filter life make it an easy emergency or travel item. It removes biological threats and microplastics but does not claim virus or chemical removal.
Who it's for
Travelers, commuters and day hikers get a pocket-size filter for streams and taps. People traveling where viruses are a concern need a purifier rated for them.
Pros and cons
- Long filter life
- Removes bacteria and parasites
- End caps keep it clean
- Suitable for all ages
- Virus removal not listed
- Must drink directly from source
- No flow rate stated
Performance notes
Filtration works through fine pores that physically block bacteria, parasites and plastic particles, so sipping draws water through them. Flow slows as the filter loads. Viruses are smaller than these targets and are not listed.
