Overview
Not a hard distance-only ball, the Titleist Tour Soft pairs a new core size with a soft elastomer cover for feel around the greens. This yellow version adds the AlignXL marking, a long line for lining up putts.
Soft feel with a higher iron launch helps shots land steeper and stop faster on greens. Yellow is easier to track in the air and find in rough. Compression and spin numbers are not given, which makes fitting comparisons harder.
Who it's for
Weekend golfers who value feel and want help lining up putts will like the AlignXL line and yellow cover. Players fitting for exact spin and compression should look at balls that publish those numbers.
Pros and cons
- Soft feel off the face
- Higher iron launch for stopping
- Yellow is easy to track
- Long alignment line for putting
- Compression not listed
- Spin rates not published
- Yellow not allowed in some formats
Performance notes
The dimple pattern shapes a stable flight for distance off the tee. Higher launch on irons creates a steeper descent, which helps the ball stop on greens. The elastomer cover gives a soft feel on putts and chips.
