Overview
Not a pure wood bat, DeMarini The Woods wraps a Pro Maple barrel around an internal composite rod for durability. A midload balance and tapered handle give a classic wood feel with a textured grip.
Wood crack and feel with reinforced durability suit wood bat tournaments and year round swings. Expect wood like performance rather than metal bat distance.
Who it's for
Players training with wood or entering wood bat showcase events will use it. Hitters chasing distance in alloy BBCOR play should look at metal bats.
Pros and cons
- Real maple barrel feel
- Composite core adds durability
- Wood level performance
- Heavier feel than drop bats
Performance notes
Contact feel comes from the maple barrel, while the internal composite rod resists the breakage that ends ordinary wood bats. The midload weight places mass toward the barrel, adding momentum for hitters with strong swings.
