Overview
Not a frame for printed photos, the Aura Carver is a Wi-Fi display that shows pictures and short videos sent from phones. Family members add photos from anywhere through the app or by text, and built-in speakers play the sound on video clips.
Remote sharing is the core of it: relatives can drop new photos onto the frame without touching it. It needs a wall outlet and Wi-Fi, and the listing does not state built-in storage, wall mounting or what is in the box.
Who it's for
Families who text photos to each other and want them shown on a kitchen counter or side table will use it daily. A house with no wireless network or no outlet nearby will not get much from it.
Pros and cons
- Family can add photos from anywhere
- Plays live photos and short videos
- Works with iOS and Android
- Built-in speakers for video sound
- Storage capacity not listed
- Needs a wall outlet
- Videos are limited in length
- No SD card slot mentioned
Performance notes
Photos arrive over Wi-Fi from the Aura app, so the frame updates whenever someone shares a picture rather than when a card is swapped. Portrait pairing places two vertical shots side by side on the landscape screen, and auto shut-off turns the display off when it is not needed.
