Overview
MECHEN built this player as a pocket music player with a touch screen, large internal storage and a card slot for more. It streams to Bluetooth headphones or speakers, plays lossless files, and adds FM radio, a voice recorder, ebooks and a letter based song search.
Big storage plus FLAC and APE support make it a phone free way to carry a lossless library. Bluetooth only links to headphones and speakers, video files need converting first, and the listing gives no battery figure.
Who it's for
Gym goers, students and anyone avoiding a phone at work get a light player for a large offline library. Listeners who rely on streaming apps will find it does not run them.
Pros and cons
- Large built in storage
- Card slot for more space
- Plays lossless FLAC and APE
- Song search by letters
- Bluetooth will not pair with cars or phones
- Battery life not listed
- Video needs converting before playback
Performance notes
Sound quality depends mostly on the headphones and the file quality, since the player decodes lossless formats but the listing gives no DAC details. Bluetooth output to wireless headphones compresses audio, so wired listening suits lossless files.
