Halo Freeze-Dried Raw Beef Meal Bites Dog Food 14 oz

Overview

Halo's freeze-dried raw meal bites pack beef as the primary protein into a 14 oz bag, marketed as grain-free with a 100% animal protein source that can serve as a full meal, a food topper, or a treat for adult dogs.

Freeze-drying preserves the raw-food profile without needing refrigeration, which is the appeal over fresh raw diets. Halo positions the product as flexible: use it as a meal on its own or crumble it over kibble as a topper, so the bag's per-serving cost depends heavily on which use case applies. The hypoallergenic allergen note suggests it is aimed at dogs sensitive to more common proteins.

Who it's for

Owners of adult dogs looking for a grain-free raw option they can serve on its own or mix into regular kibble. Less suited to households wanting a large primary food supply, since the bag ships small at 14 oz.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Freeze-dried raw retains more of the original nutrient and protein structure than cooked kibble, which is the basis for Halo's high-protein claim. Because it is not baked, rehydrating it with warm water before serving is the usual way owners use it as a full meal rather than a topper.
