Overview
Freeze dried raw chicken nibs from Vital Essentials, made with 96% chicken meat, organs and bone, sized to serve as a complete grain free meal or a rehydrated topper for kibble, in a 14 oz bag.
This is a single protein, limited ingredient formula built around whole prey ratios rather than added grains or fillers, so it targets dogs with sensitive stomachs or owners easing into raw feeding through a topper rather than a full raw diet. The crunchy nib format lets it double as a training treat or meal mixer without rehydrating.
- 96% chicken, organs and bone
- Complete meal or topper use
- Grain free, limited ingredient
- 14 oz resealable bag
Who it's for
Suits owners who want to introduce raw feeding gradually, or who feed kibble but want an animal protein topper to boost palatability and protein intake. Dogs with known poultry allergies should skip it since chicken is the sole protein source.
Pros and cons
- Single ingredient chicken formula limits allergen exposure
- Works as full meal or kibble topper
- Grain, corn, soy and gluten free
- No added antibiotics or hormones
- 14 oz bag is a small format for full time feeding
- Chicken only, so not suited to poultry sensitive dogs
Performance notes
The freeze drying process locks in the raw nutrient profile of chicken meat, organs and bone without cooking, and the product can be fed dry as crunchy nibs or rehydrated with water for dogs that prefer a softer texture. Because it is nutrient dense, portion sizes for a full meal are smaller than kibble by volume.
