Overview
A 6 lb jug of low-dust, clumping clay makes up Purina's Tidy Cats Light Weight litter, built around the brand's Tidy Lock ammonia blocker for odor control.
Purina backs the ammonia-blocking claim with a stated satisfaction process, offering a refund route if the two-week odor control doesn't hold up as described. At 6 lb, this jug is on the small side for multi-cat households, closer to a trial size or top-off jug than a primary supply.
- Lightweight clumping clay formula
- Low dust
- Tidy Lock ammonia blocker, 2-week odor claim
- Backed by a manufacturer satisfaction process
Who it's for
Cat owners who want a lighter clay litter to carry and pour, with clumping and odor control, especially for topping off or trying the formula before buying larger sizes. Multi-cat homes will likely need to reorder often at this size.
Pros and cons
- Lighter to carry and pour than standard clay litter
- Low dust formula
- Ammonia-blocking odor control backed by a satisfaction process
- 6 lb jug is small for multi-cat households
- Clay-based, not flushable or biodegradable
Performance notes
The granule formula clumps for scooping while the Tidy Lock ammonia blocker is aimed at controlling odor for about two weeks, backed by Purina's stated satisfaction process if that claim doesn't hold. Being clay-based, it is not flushable or biodegradable.
