Overview
This is Stella & Chewy's freeze-dried raw dinner patties formulated for puppies, in a beef and salmon recipe, sold as a 14 ounce bag.
The patties are grain-free and made without corn, wheat or soy, with a puppy-specific age range rather than the all-life-stages labeling seen on some of Stella & Chewy's other lines. Like other freeze-dried raw formats, patties can be fed whole, broken up, or rehydrated with water into a softer meal for smaller puppy mouths.
- 14 oz bag, beef and salmon recipe
- Formulated for puppies
- Grain-free, corn-free, wheat-free, soy-free
- Freeze-dried raw dinner patties
Who it's for
Suited to owners feeding a puppy who want a grain-free raw diet formulated for growth. Not the pick for an adult or senior dog, since the recipe and its Puppy age range designation are built around puppy needs.
Pros and cons
- Formulated specifically for puppies rather than all life stages
- Grain-free, corn-free, wheat-free and soy-free
- Beef and salmon combines two protein sources
- 14 ounce bag is a smaller supply for a growing, increasingly hungry puppy
- Not appropriate for adult dogs given the puppy-specific formulation
Performance notes
The patties can be fed dry, broken into smaller pieces, or rehydrated with warm water into a softer consistency, which helps with puppies transitioning onto solid food.
