Overview
The Amazon IR97416A-B is a single black yoga block made from high-density foam, weighing about 163 grams (roughly 5.75 ounces). It is sold as one block rather than a pair, so buyers who want a matched set need to order two.
High-density foam sits between the lightest EVA blocks and heavier cork or wood blocks, aiming for a firmer feel underfoot without the added weight of natural materials. Selling it as a single unit rather than a pair is worth noting for anyone assuming a two-block set, since many yoga block listings ship in twos.
- High-density foam build
- Black color
- 163 grams weight
- Sold as one block
Who it's for
Works for someone who already owns one block and needs a matching second, or a beginner wanting a single low-cost prop to try before buying a pair. Less convenient for anyone who wants both blocks in one order.
Pros and cons
- Firmer high-density foam
- Light at about 5.75 oz
- Simple black finish
- Sold as a single block, not a pair
- Less firm than cork
Performance notes
High-density foam gives more resistance underhand than softer open-cell foam, so the block holds its shape under body weight better than a lightweight budget block. At 163 grams it stays easy to carry, though it will not feel as solid as a cork block.
