A straightforward, cheaper alternative to LG's OEM filter for compatible models; check your fridge's filter part number against the listed compatibility before buying since it won't fit non-LG systems.

Overview
This is a 3-pack of GLACIER FRESH GF-1000P water filters, a drop-in replacement for the LG LT1000PC and LT1000PCS refrigerator filter, bundled with 3 LT120F-compatible air filters. It fits specific LG models only, not GE, Samsung, or Whirlpool filters.
Because this is a compatibility part, the fit matters more than any other spec: it's a twist-in replacement for LG's own LT1000PC cartridge, not a universal filter, so it's only worth buying if your fridge currently uses that part number or one of its listed equivalents like MDJ64844601. The coconut shell carbon block is rated to NSF 42 for chlorine taste and odor reduction over a 6-month or 200-gallon service life. Bundling three air filters with three water filters means one order covers roughly a year and a half of both filter types for a household replacing on the recommended schedule.
- NSF 42 tested for chlorine reduction
- Coconut shell carbon block filtration
- 6-month or 200-gallon rated service life
- Includes LT120F-compatible fresh air filters
Who it's for
Fits LG refrigerator owners whose unit uses the LT1000PC, LT1000PCS, or LT-1000PC water filter and LT120F air filter, at a lower price than LG's own branded cartridges. Not for other brands' fridges, and buyers should confirm their model number matches before ordering since a mismatched filter simply won't fit the housing.
Pros and cons
- Fits LG LT1000PC and LT1000PCS filter housings
- Includes 3 water filters and 3 air filters in one pack
- Twist-in install with no tools needed
- Priced well below LG's branded replacement
- Only fits LG models using this specific filter part number
- Brief water leakage when swapping out the old filter is normal
- Requires confirming your exact model before ordering
Performance notes
The coconut shell carbon block works by adsorbing chlorine and contaminant particles as water passes through it, which is what improves taste and odor rather than any electronic component. NSF 42 testing measures that reduction against a lab standard rather than guaranteeing performance in every water supply, so results will vary with local water quality. The 6-month or 200-gallon rated life assumes typical household use; heavier water use will shorten it.
