Overview
Not a desktop drive tied to an outlet, this Seagate portable runs from a single USB cable and fits in a bag. Files save by drag and drop on Windows or Mac, and it is listed for Xbox One and PlayStation game storage.
Large capacity in a light, bus powered shell suits laptops and consoles alike. Spinning disk speed and a short included cable are the practical limits.
Who it's for
Students, gamers and travelers storing files and game libraries. Creators who work directly off the drive should choose an SSD.
Pros and cons

- Light and compact
- Works with PC, Mac and consoles
- Simple drag and drop
- Spinning disk speed
- Short included cable
- No backup software listed

Performance notes
Speeds are set by the internal spinning disk, so large files copy steadily while many small files go slower. Bus power from the USB port means the computer or console supplies everything. The drive is sensitive to drops while spinning, so handle it gently in use.
