Overview
The Aiibe 128GB flash drive is a basic USB 2.0 thumb drive with a retractable connector, built for everyday file backup and transfer rather than speed.
This is a value USB 2.0 drive, not a USB 3.0 or 3.1 model, so anyone expecting fast transfer speeds on large files should look elsewhere. Its case is where it tries to stand out: a retractable design that covers the connector without a separate cap to lose.
- 128GB capacity
- Retractable, capless design
- Pre-formatted in exFAT
- Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux
Who it's for
Fits anyone who wants cheap, simple bulk storage for documents, photos or backups and isn't moving huge files often. Not the pick for video editors or anyone regularly transferring large files, where USB 2.0 speeds will feel slow.
Pros and cons
- 128GB capacity at a low price point
- Retractable connector needs no separate cap
- Pre-formatted exFAT works across Windows, Mac and Linux
- Broad OS support down to older Windows versions
- USB 2.0 speeds, not USB 3.0
- No branded case beyond the drive itself
Performance notes
Because it's a USB 2.0 device, transfer speeds top out well below what a USB 3.0 drive delivers, even though it plugs into and works with USB 3.0 and 1.1 ports. It's listed at 7g and about 2.6 by 0.8 by 0.4 inches, and ships pre-formatted in exFAT, which reads across current Windows, Mac and Linux systems without reformatting.
