Overview
A high gain antenna paired with a sturdy ABS housing is what lets this Retevis radio push signal through large buildings and job sites. Pre set privacy codes cut chatter, a flashlight is built in and an alarm can be enabled for emergencies.
Teams get coverage across big warehouses and multi floor buildings with a full shift of battery life. The pre set codes block talk with other brands unless you ask the seller for firmware, and fast chargers are not supported.
Who it's for
Site supervisors, security staff and hunting groups will value the durability and runtime. Groups mixing radio brands will need firmware help first.
Pros and cons
- Long battery runtime
- Dust and water resistant
- Emergency alarm function
- Charging bases included
- Cannot talk to other brands by default
- Fast chargers not supported
- Alarm needs CHIRP to activate
Performance notes
Range in buildings depends on the high gain antenna and how many walls and floors the signal passes through. Battery life varies with transmit time and volume. Pre set codes filter other users on the same frequency, which quiets the channel but blocks other brands.
