Overview
Running rec league games, summer camp drills or driveway shootarounds is what the Spalding React was made for. A composite leather cover handles both blacktop and hardwood, and a butyl bladder holds air between games.
A cover that moves from outdoor courts to the gym without fuss makes it a workhorse for camps and leagues. The listing describes a plain composite build and says nothing about grip texture or channels.
Who it's for
Coaches stocking a camp and players who shoot on mixed surfaces will find it fits. Young kids need a smaller ball.
Pros and cons
- Composite cover for any court
- Butyl bladder holds air
- Official size and weight
- Plain cover with no soft backing
- Too large for young kids
- Wears on rough outdoor courts
Performance notes
The composite leather cover gives grip on hardwood and resists blacktop scuffing, though rough surfaces still wear it down over time. Butyl rubber holds pressure, so the bounce stays consistent between top ups.
