Overview
Rubber-coated plates from BalanceFrom, sold in black as a two-piece set with a five-pound rating, meant for adding incremental load to a home barbell or plate-loaded machine setup.
Category tree lists this under Plates, and the title and spec sheet confirm this is BalanceFrom's rubber weight plate line rather than an unrelated accessory. The rubber coating helps protect flooring and cuts down clang compared to bare iron plates. No bore diameter is listed, so confirm the hole size matches your bar before ordering.
- Rubber-coated construction
- Black finish
- Two-piece set
- 5-pound rating
Who it's for
Home gym owners adding incremental weight to a barbell or plate-loaded machine. Not a fit for lifters who specifically need bumper plates rated for dropping, since nothing in the listing claims drop-rated construction.
Pros and cons
- Rubber coating protects floors and reduces clanging
- Sold as a matched two-piece set
- No bore or sleeve diameter listed, so bar fit isn't confirmed
- Not marketed as drop-rated bumper plates
Performance notes
Rubber coatings like this one are chosen mainly to cut noise and guard flooring when plates are set down, not specifically for drop resistance.
