Overview
A rubber-coated weight plate set from GIKPAL, model W01-85, made up of 8 individual plates in black finish, with a combined item weight of about 85 pounds.
The model number and total listed weight both point to an 85 pound set split across eight plates, likely a mix of sizes for building up a load in steps rather than eight identical discs. Rubber coating over the plates typically means quieter drops and less floor damage than bare cast iron, though the listing does not specify rubber versus a rubber-coated core.
- Rubber material
- 8 plates included
- About 85 lb total
- Black finish
Who it's for
Home lifters assembling a barbell or plate-loaded setup who want a mid-size rubber plate set in one purchase. Not for anyone needing a single heavy plate, since this is a multi-piece set.
Pros and cons
- Rubber coating protects floors from drops
- Eight plates for varied loading combinations
- Total set weight around 85 pounds
- Individual plate weights not broken out
- Hole diameter not specified
Performance notes
Rubber-coated plates cushion drops and protect flooring better than bare steel, which matters for home use where a hard floor impact carries through a room.
