Overview
A 12-piece cast iron weight plate set from Fitvids, model POG-2INIP-70SET, in grey, with a listed item weight of 40 pounds.
The 70SET model name points to a 70 pound combination set, though the listed item weight of 40 pounds does not match that figure exactly, so the precise total load is worth confirming with the seller before buying. Twelve pieces suggests a mix of plate sizes meant to be combined for different loads rather than 12 identical discs.
- Cast iron material
- 12 plates included
- Grey finish
- Model POG-2INIP-70SET
Who it's for
Home lifters wanting a multi-piece cast iron set to build up barbell loads in increments. Anyone who needs an exact confirmed total weight should verify it directly, since the listed spec and model name disagree.
Pros and cons
- 12 plates for varied load combinations
- Cast iron durability
- Listed weight and model name disagree on total poundage
- Louder and harder on floors than rubber-coated plates
- Individual plate sizes not broken out
Performance notes
Cast iron plates are dense and durable but louder and harder on flooring than rubber-coated options, standard trade-offs for the material.
