Overview
Campers and sideline parents get a folding rocking chair with an attached side table and a drink holder. Spring shock absorbers let the seat rock on hard or soft ground, and the steel frame folds flat by pulling up on the closure handles.
GCI built this chair around a rocking motion that works without a porch or curved runners. A tall mesh backrest and broad seat suit larger adults. Its weight and folded height make it a car camping chair more than a hiking one, and the listing gives two different weight limits.
Who it's for
Backyard barbecues, kids' games and campsites reached by car are where this rocker belongs. Hikers carrying gear on their backs and anyone wanting a compact stuff sack chair should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Rocks on hard or soft ground
- Attached side table plus cup holder
- Mesh backrest lets air through
- Folds flat with a push and pull
- Heavy for long walks from the car
- Listing gives conflicting weight limits
- Carry bag not listed in the box
- Tall even when folded
Performance notes
Comfort comes from the shock absorber springs under the seat, which let the chair rock without curved runners, so it works on lawn or packed dirt. The mesh back lets air move on warm days, while the wide steel frame spreads the load across straight legs.
