Overview
Grandparents' living rooms are where the Aura Carver usually lands, showing photos and short videos that family members send from the Aura app, email, text or cloud albums. The display adjusts to room lighting and turns itself on and off.
No subscription and unlimited storage make ongoing sharing simple for the whole family. It needs Wi-Fi and a power outlet, and the screen is mid sized.
Who it's for
Families spread across homes will enjoy adding photos remotely, and older relatives need no setup skill. Homes without Wi-Fi should choose a frame that reads memory cards.
Pros and cons
- No subscription fee
- Unlimited photo storage
- Shares from many sources
- Plays short videos with sound
- Corded power only
- Mid size screen
- Storage on device not listed
Performance notes
Photos arrive through Aura's cloud from the app or email, so the frame needs a Wi-Fi connection. A light sensor adjusts brightness, and automatic on/off saves power at night. Portrait pairing places two vertical photos side by side.
