Overview
A hex-shaped trap bar for deadlifts, shrugs and farmer's walk carries in a home gym. The 5mm steel frame is rated to 250kg and the center step-through opening keeps hands at your sides instead of in front of your shins.
Trap bars change the deadlift pattern compared to a straight bar, moving load closer to your center of gravity. This one ships without locks or collars, so budget for a pair of 2 inch collars separately before your first session.
- 5mm thick steel frame
- 250kg rated capacity
- Four gap rings included
- Fits standard 2 inch Olympic plates
Who it's for
Lifters who want a dedicated hex bar for deadlifts, shrugs and carries rather than a multi-purpose straight bar. Not a fit if you need one bar that also handles bench press.
Pros and cons
- Hex step-through eases deadlift and shrug form
- 5mm steel frame rated to 250kg
- Long 30cm sleeves for multiple plates per side
- No weight locks or collars included
Performance notes
The hex design lets you step inside the frame so hands sit at your sides, reducing forward lean versus a straight-bar deadlift. Four included gap rings space plates away from your hands, and 30cm sleeves leave room to load multiple plates per side.
